Welcome (or welcome back) to ICANThe Interactive Collaborative Autism Network (ICAN) is a project supported by a U.S. Department of Education Grant H324M000047. The site is a collaborative effort among three states: the State Departments of Education of Connecticut (CT) and Minnesota (MN) and the University of Kansas (KU). For whom is ICAN developed?This site is for anyone who lives with, teaches, or otherwise supports children and youth with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), including parents, teachers, and individuals with ASD. No background knowledge about ASD is necessary to use the site. We developed ICAN for anyone who wants to learn information related to individuals with ASD and made the site as accessible as possible. What does ICAN offer?
Note: Each topic consists of an introduction, lecture, quiz, frequently asked questions (FAQs), glossary, and resources. Topics also contain a forum that allows users to communicate with other ICAN users. This site is FREE for public access.
